Taylor Baca

VARSITY HEAD COACH

Coach Baca is joining East Men's Soccer with a wealth of experience coaching at the highest level of high school soccer. Entering his 9th year as a Head Coach, Coach Baca has led some of the top teams in the state of Texas, earning multiple State and National Rankings. Individually, he has been named District Coach of the Year in 2017, 2020, 2021, and the Dallas Morning News Area Soccer Coach of the Year in 2020.

Prior to coming to East, Coach Baca served as Head Soccer Coach at Prosper High School (2018-2023) and Hebron High School (2015-2018). At Prosper, Coach Baca's team won 3 consecutive district championships and earned playoff qualification in every season he was at the helm. His program was named a National Top 10 High School Team by United Soccer Coaches. While at Hebron, Coach Baca led the Men's Soccer program to their first ever District Championship and a trip to the Regional Finals.

Coach Baca earned his Bachelor's Degree from SMU and his Master's Degree in Secondary Education from the University of North Texas. He and his wife Caitlin live in Flower Mound with their two children, Owen and Isla.

Justin Bailey

JV1 COACH, VARSITY ASSISTANT COACH

Coach Bailey is beginning his 10th year coaching, joining the East Men's Soccer program after two years with the women's side. Originally from Tokyo, Japan, and an Austinite, Coach Bailey's playing career consisted of a short stint at St. Edward's University, and then Club Soccer at UT Austin. Afterwards, he began his coaching career at Lonestar Soccer Club before teaching/coaching at Lamar Middle School and McCallum High School.

At East, Coach Bailey is the JV1 Coach and the Varsity Assistant Coach. In Addition to coaching, he is an Algebra teacher and the Algebra-2 team lead at Plano East.

Dre Cortez

ASSISTANT COACH

Coach Dre Cortez is entering his first year of coaching high school, with four years of experience coaching collegiate football, most recently at McMurry University. He will be serving as the JV 2 boy's coach and teaches health at Williams High School. Coach Cortez grew up in Dallas, Texas, and attended H. Grady Spruce High School where he played football and ran track. He attended Fort Lewis College to play football, majoring in Sports Management. He has a master's degree in Sport Administration. In his free time, he likes to play chess. His favorite sports team is the Dallas Cowboys. Fun Fact: Coach Cortez was high school valedictorian.

SARAH SOLIS

ATHLETIC TRAINER

Coach Solis earned her B.A. Kinesiology from Northwestern College. She went on to earn her Masters in Athletic Training from Baylor University. She is a Licensed Athletic Trainer and BOC Certified Athletic Trainer. In addition to soccer, Coach Solis oversees athletic training for all sports at Plano East Senior High.

BOOSTER CLUB

The purpose of the Plano East Men's Soccer Booster Club is to support the players and the soccer program at our senior high school. This will include promotion of school spirit, parent involvement and participation in fundraising activities. Our efforts will allow us to provide services and support that are not available through the school district.The Plano East Soccer Booster Club is a not-for-profit organization and abides by all University Interscholastic League regulations and guidelines outlined for booster club organizations. Our booster club works with the Plano East PTSA and Panthers, Inc. Our association with these organizations benefits our athletes through scholarship opportunities, community service projects and school spirit.
